Can I Store a Vehicle on GoJak® Wheel Dollies?

Short-Term Vehicle Storage

Yes. A vehicle may be stored on GoJak® wheel dollies for a short period of time, provided the tire remains fully supported within the dolly's designated lifting area. This ensures the vehicle's weight is properly distributed across the GoJak structure.

GoJak dollies are engineered primarily for vehicle positioning and movement, not as permanent storage stands. While short-term storage will not damage the dolly when used properly, Zendex does not recommend leaving a vehicle supported on GoJaks for extended periods (generally six months or longer).

What About Tire Flat Spots?

When a vehicle remains stationary for an extended period, it is common for tires to develop temporary flat spots as the rubber deforms under constant load. This is a characteristic of the tire itself and is not caused by the GoJak.

To help minimize temporary flat spots during storage, Zendex recommends periodically re-engaging the GoJak and rotating the wheel to change the tire's contact patch. This redistributes the vehicle's weight over a different section of the tire before returning the GoJak to the disengaged position.

In most cases, temporary flat spots will gradually diminish as the tires return to their normal operating temperature during regular driving.

Recommended Storage Procedure

If the vehicle will remain parked for any length of time, Zendex recommends disengaging one GoJak supporting a front tire and one GoJak supporting a rear tire after the vehicle has been positioned.

This allows two tires to rest on the ground while the remaining GoJaks stay in place, reducing the potential for unintended vehicle movement. The disengaged GoJaks can remain positioned under the tires and be re-engaged whenever the vehicle needs to be moved again.

Important: GoJak wheel dollies are intended for use only on smooth, level, hard surfaces. Never use GoJaks to support or secure a vehicle on an incline or uneven surface.

Why Zendex Recommends This

GoJak wheel dollies are designed to make vehicle movement easy while safely supporting the vehicle's weight during repositioning. For longer-term parking, allowing two tires to rest on the ground reduces unnecessary stress on both the tires and the dollies while keeping the vehicle ready to be moved again quickly.

Using GoJak wheel dollies as intended for short-term vehicle positioning and storage will not damage the product. However, modifying the product or using it outside its intended application may void the warranty.
