Do GoJak® Wheel Dollies Come with Locking Casters?

GoJak® wheel dollies are not equipped with locking casters, and we do not recommend installing aftermarket locking casters.

GoJak dollies are designed to be used only on smooth, level, hard surfaces. Locking casters can create the false impression that a vehicle can be safely secured on an inclined or uneven surface. Even when engaged, locking casters are not intended to restrain the weight of a vehicle and should never be relied upon to prevent movement.

Using GoJak dollies on a sloped surface can cause a vehicle to roll unexpectedly, creating a serious safety hazard.

How do I prevent the vehicle from rolling?

 After positioning the vehicle, disengage one GoJak on a front tire and one GoJak on a rear tire. This is the recommended method for securing the vehicle while it is parked or being serviced. The two disengaged tires will rest on the ground while the GoJaks remain in place, allowing the dollies to be quickly re-engaged when the vehicle needs to be moved. 

Important: GoJak wheel dollies are intended for use only on smooth, level, hard surfaces. Never use GoJaks to support or secure a vehicle on an incline or uneven surface.

Installing non-OEM casters or other aftermarket components on a GoJak product voids the product warranty.

GoJak products are engineered to move vehicles safely on level surfaces. By not incorporating locking casters, the design reinforces proper operating practices and discourages the use of the product in situations where a vehicle could become unstable or roll unexpectedly.
