What Does the Steel Insert Look Like?

One of the critical internal components of the SpeedBlaster is the steel insert. Although it is small, this part is essential for proper operation and consistent media flow. Because of its size, it is easy to misplace during disassembly and cleaning between uses.

Use the photos and notes below to correctly identify and install the steel insert inside the handle:

1. The steel insert features two holes of different diameters. When installed, the larger hole must face toward the ceramic nozzle. This orientation helps regulate the media as it exits the blaster.

2. In the second photo, the handle is shown without the steel insert in place. Note the key-shaped channel inside the handle’s barrel. This channel is designed to align with the matching key groove on the steel insert, ensuring the insert seats in the correct position and does not rotate.

3. In the third photo, the steel insert is shown properly installed in the handle. When the insert is oriented with the large hole facing the ceramic nozzle and the key groove aligned with the barrel channel, the SpeedBlaster can operate as designed, providing reliable and consistent blasting performance.
