Will GoJak work on a Race Deck floor?
The type and condition of the floor or rolling surface can significantly affect how easily the GoJak moves and maneuvers.
GoJak® vehicle positioning jacks cannot be used on RaceDeck®-style flooring. We do not recommend it. For the best performance and easiest vehicle movement, GoJaks are engineered to operate on solid, smooth, and level surfaces, such as concrete.
Why it doesn't work:
Although a RaceDeck-style floor may feel firm underfoot, its modular construction typically allows a small amount of deflection when loaded. Even a slight amount of flex can increase rolling resistance on the GoJak casters and create enough friction to prevent them from swiveling freely.
The grooved surface pattern can also influence how the casters track and rotate, but this effect is usually secondary to floor deflection. Because the vehicle's weight is concentrated through the GoJak casters, seams, grooves, and movement in modular flooring can make repositioning the vehicle more difficult and less predictable.
For best results:
Use GoJaks on a clean, solid, smooth, and level surface where the casters can roll and swivel with minimal resistance. This will provide the most efficient and predictable vehicle movement and allow your GoJaks to perform as designed
